As a multi-dimensional entrepreneur, Adam Troy, brings his vast background experience and relationship capital with profitable ventures involving operating business’s and various joint-ventures. His success with projects involving multiple partnerships among corporations, government, faith-based entities and community groups is often cited as a viable ‘real-world’ approach to effective collaborations grounded in market-based realty.

Having established numerous real estate partnerships throughout the Midwest, his work has resulted in housing nearly 1,000 families, community development based projects totaling more than $250 Million, job creation along with access to quality goods & services in the areas of grocery, healthcare, retail business and homeownership/banking related products for under-served markets. Adam’s most recent project involved the forging of a unique partnership with the City of Chicago, LISC (Local Initiatives Support Corporation, a national non-profit), the ward alderman and QCDC (Quad Community Development Corporation) to collectively create a unique mixed-use development for the community called the Shops & Lofts at 47, featuring a 75-unit apartment complex and 46,000 square feet of retail, inclusive of a Walmart Neighborhood Grocery store.

As a unique model of Adam’s work in the public/private partnership arena he lead the creation of the Unity Partnership CDC. Based in Columbus, Ohio Unity CDC represented one of the nation's first and largest faith-based community development initiatives, providing access to goods and services for more than 10,000 members of participating churches and community residents and more than $60 million dollars of local development related activity within the northeast quadrant of Columbus, Ohio.

Most recently, Adam’s operational leadership experience was tapped to serve as the Public Lighting Authority’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the City of Detroit Public Lighting Modernization Plan---a rebound from 40% of streetlights broken to new 65,000 energy-efficient LED lights. Adam worked together with an executive team that led and provided oversight for the design, building and financing of the total reconstruction and relighting of Detroit---securing and guiding the strategic deployment of $185-million in bonds meant an additional 10,000 lights were able to be installed beyond the initial lighting modernization plan. Under his leadership watch staffing grew from an initial 8 employees to 30-plus professionals whereby more than 30,000 lights were installed within a record nine month period, placing the modernization plan nearly one-year ahead of completion schedule. As COO, Adam had executive responsibility for overseeing multiple platforms including: construction & engineering, community engagement, continuous improvement, public relations and customer service.

In 1994, along with partner Keith Key, Adam co-founded Omni Management Group – a real estate development company specializing in office development and multi-family housing. Under their dual leadership Omni became one of the premiere African-American owned real estate development companies in the nation. As a former Managing Partner of Omni Development and now as President & CEO of TROY Enterprises (a multi-dimensional holding company), Adam’s leadership experience and focus on public/private partnerships has positioned him as one of our nation’s top strategic “go-to” business minds and thought leaders.

His on-going business interest are comprised of a portfolio of companies spanning areas such as real estate & community development, P3 monetization, technology, minority retail franchising, management consulting and corporate diversity initiatives. Adam’s completed project track record demonstrates a proven ability to work in unison with staff, volunteers, and board of directors. Skillful in interacting with stakeholders, community groups and government officials at varying levels, he is recognized for his ability to gain consensus and achieve measurable results. Adam’s vast network of contacts and results oriented approach to profitably orchestrate seemingly unrelated parts have earned him the moniker of "maestro" in many circles. Clients describe his leadership style and workmanship as innovative, versatile, and always centered on the end-user. He is fond of saying, “at the intersection of commerce & community is where common ground is both sustainable and mutually beneficial”.

Adam has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Banking & Finance from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. He is also a graduate of the Summer Leadership Institute at Harvard University Divinity School’s Center for Church-based Community and Economic Development Study.

Over the past two decades Adam has established a unique career path and serves as a trusted advisor to a wide range of business, community and political leaders. He has developed a legacy of community service within a number of civic and philanthropic organizations, including The United Way of Central Ohio, The Ohio State University Real Estate Center at the Fisher College of Business, Mansion Day School, Columbus Symphony Orchestra and Action for Children.
